Australian musician and producer Nick Murphy has dropped a new single 'Medication' (out now via Future Classic). The track, which premiered on triple j and Noisey overnight, "is a song about ignorance and flawed logic", says Murphy. "I wanted to see what it was like writing about ego-fuelled confidence."

Murphy released his Missing Link EP in May, his first release since announcing that he’ll record and perform under his given name and step away from his Chet Faker moniker. The collection (featuring the Kaytranada-produced single 'Your Time') bridges the sonic shift between who he was as an artist and what is next for him as Nick Murphy.

As Chet Faker, Murphy's debut album Built On Glass received global critical acclaim; he appeared in the top 10 of triple j's Hottest 100 for three consecutive years (including #1 for his double-platinum hit 'Talk is Cheap'); and his beloved single 'Gold' has received almost 100 million views to date. Murphy performed the track on national US television including Jimmy Kimmel Live and The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and has performed sold out headline shows and at major festivals around the world.

In June, Murphy played an exclusive residency at the iconic Sydney Opera House for Vivid LIVE, before heading off to debut his new live show on the global stage.
