Timberwolf shares new single "Hold You Up", announces three headline shows

One of Adelaide's brightest talents, Timberwolf shares his stunning new single "Hold You Up". As premiered on triple j's 2017 with Richard Kingsmill, the track is lifted from his highly anticipated debut album due out later this year.

Following on from his previous release "Washed Out", "Hold You Up" talks of self-preservation and love which Timberwolf refers to as a "kind of prickly goo tango between growth and pain, which neither can exist without the other". Climactic right from the start, his unique chord progressions, layered melodies and raw lyrics make for an intriguing and uplifting listen.

Timberwolf (a.k.a. Chris Panousakis) enhances the track with an accompanying visual directed by Bree Tranter. Colourful patterns and simple, nostalgic imagery allow you to get truly lost in the single. Watch it here.

Since releasing his Flux EP in 2015 and reaching 1 million streams on Spotify, Timberwolf has performed to sold out crowds across the country at Groovin The Moo, WOMADelaide, Big Pineapple, BIG SOUND and Woodford Folk Festival, as well as taking out Best Songwriter and Best Male Artist at South Australian Music Awards. His previous single "Something That I Said" premiered on Stereogum, was added to rotation on triple j as well as community radio nationwide, signed him to US publisher Third Side Music (Courtney Barnett, Flying Lotus, BadBadNotGood, Kurt Vile, Wolf Parade) and booking agency Select.

In celebration of "Hold You Up", Timberwolf has also announced three headline shows for July at Jive Bar in Adelaide on Friday 14th, The Workers Club in Melbourne on Saturday 15th and Leadbelly in Sydney on Friday 21st. The shows follow his tour with Amy Shark, as he supports the triple j Hottest 100 #2 winner on a national sold out run of shows which kick off this Saturday in Sydney. WIth his debut album deep in the works, 2017 is looking like his biggest year yet.
