FUTURE JR. RELEASES NEW SINGLE "SUBURBIA BLUE" + VIDEO
Brisbane native Future Jr. dropped his “icey cool” music video for latest single “Suburbia Blue” overnight via Pilerats. “Suburbia Blue” is out now, taken from his debut EP, VACANCYout late 2017 on Kobalt Records.
Lead single “Suburbia Blue” explores the kind of coming-of-age stories you would expect from a young artist whose music was born in their parents’ house, but with a fresh ambient-pop sound and exciting perspective. "It's all about feeling out of place, figuring out who you really are, and learning to deal with the dreams that feel bigger than you.” Future Jr.
Influenced by the likes of Toro y Moi, Lorde, and Winston Surfshirt, Future Jr. began playing with a guitar and his synth collection in the depths of his parents’ house. Equipped with a disarming lyricism and a love for immersive musical textures, he began to work on what will soon be his debut EP.
Travelling to Los Angeles Future Jr. immersed himself in the songwriting scene and dove head first into a number of all-consuming mind melds with noted writers and producers. For his debut effort "Suburbia Blue” has already been recognised within the streaming world being added to Spotify’s New Music Friday ( Germany, Turkey & Switzerland) New Pop (Turkey) & Apple Music’s Best Of The Week, The A List; New Artists, Breaking Pop, Breaking Electronic, Mellow Days & New Artists Radio.
Future Jr.’s electro-pop single “Suburbia Blue” only provides a taste of what’s to come.
