Congratulations on your latest single, 'so good'! How are you celebrating the release of this track?
Thanks y’all!!! I’m so stoked it’s finally out in the world!!! Release days for me = good food and good company. I’ll be eating my worries of people liking the song with my nearest and dearest hyping me up

This single marks your first significant foray into the pop genre. What made you feel that now was the perfect time to explore this new sound?
Now or never, I guess. To preface I am a recovering chronic people pleaser and have always valued others opinions over my own wants. Upon growing and reflecting and trauma dumping on my mum :’) I'm finally realising I can’t keep living for everyone else and what everyone else thinks. This genre has always been rooted in me from when I was a young girl; it feels the most natural to me. I’m excited to share this side with whoever wants to listen.

Have you faced any challenges in sharing your new sound, and how have you navigated those obstacles?
So far so good ;) I think whilst sonically there’s a difference to my previous releases, it is still very much ME on the other end, and that’s the through line. I’m sure once the song gets into the ears of my streaming platform followers we may face some resistance but you can’t win them all! All that matters to me right now is this feels the most authentic to me, so let’s run with it!

What can fans expect from a live CHEZ show, and do you have any upcoming live performances you can share details about?
Expect a good time, a good laugh, a good headbang moment or three and a safe space. I want anyone who walks into a CHEZ show walks in feeling comfortable enough to be their most authentic selves free from judgement. We just played my sold-out debut headline show in my hometown of Perth, which was crazy!!! Now the band and I are gearing up for some really cool shows, unfortunately, that’s all I can say for now :’)

For new listeners discovering your music, which three songs would you recommend they start with, and where are the best places to stay updated on all things CHEZ?
Oh gosh! This one feels impossible to answer…

1. I’d say FRIENDS cause the song topic is all to relatable and State Champs… DUH

2. LIAR LIAR, who doesn’t love a little sass and sing along

3. HYMN, it’s R&B meets BMTH - a combo to devour
