A Quick Chat with Le She

How has your multicultural heritage from Guinea, Jamaica, and France influenced your music, particularly in your latest single 'Ride'?

I have always been passionate about music, having the heritage of these 3 countries is such a gift. Ride is a symbol of cultural wealth and love that I try to express in coded language.

Can you share the story behind the creation of 'Ride'? What inspired you to write this song, and what message do you hope to convey through it?

Ride was a real crush for me. When you love a person and the same person shows you the desire to accept us despite our differences, it's obvious that you would like to spend more time with the person. The message is simple, you have to give time to the person you love, especially the one who devotes their time to us.

If Le She’s music could be the soundtrack to any film or TV series, which one would you choose and why? How do you think your sound would complement the visual storytelling?

Friends television series in the year 1994. It's about sex, love, relationships, careers, a time in your life when everything's possible. And it's about friendship because when you're single and in the city, your friends are your family. From overseas, I think this series meets all the criteria I need as an immigrant living in Australia.

Working both as an artist and a wind turbine installation manager, how do you balance these two demanding careers? Do your experiences in renewable energy influence your music in any way?

My career in renewable energy has never been easier, it is a job that requires a lot of effort, consistency, courage and efficiency, especially concentration. Sometimes we are strict about environmental, health and social security issues. It's a job that requires a lot of time and patience. Besides, I have music, which is a passion for me, but also a remedy to relieve my stress. On one hand or the other, I am very passionate about these two areas and I always try to be balanced and give each project as much time as possible for each.

Collaborating with various artists and producers has been a part of your journey. How do these collaborations impact your sound and creative process, particularly for 'Ride'?

Yes signed few collaborations with few artists from Nigeria

As an artist who has overcome challenges, how do you use your platform to inspire and connect with listeners who may be facing their own struggles?

As an artist we have dreams and goals, but what’s stopping us from achieving them? Well, for many people, quite a lot of people it’s actually a couple of things Self-doubt, low energy or a negative mindset. The seeming unavailability of hours in a day, living a busy life, The other demands of life - Lack of skills or experience.  Feeling that you’re too old, or too young the list goes on. But do not let self doubt kill your creative dreams. Follow your dreams, believe in yourself and never ever give up. The journey to success is filled with countless challenges that most people aren’t prepared to face but with a positive mindset and a clear vision the possibilities are endless.
