FOOD COURT 'Not My Way' new single
Sydney's Food Court have recovered from the jet lag and taco comedown of their 10 performances at last months SxSW festival where the band caught the eye of many, including influential U.K blog DIYmag - besides draining Austin of Modelos and margaritas, the band have returned home battle-hardened and match-fit.
Overnight the band premiered their new single, 'Not My Way' on Triple J's Home & Hosed ahead of the release on Friday (May 19th). 'Not My Way' is the second single from the as-yet-untitled album following from Triple J favourite 'Slightest Brightest', and provides the prelude to Food Court's debut album due for release later this year. But more on that later...
The forthcoming album was the final LP to be recorded by John Castle in his legendary Shed Studios – where Castle worked his magic on records from the likes of Megan Washington, Vance Joy, You Am I and more recently Jack River. 'Not My Way' is a glorious 2 and a half minute slice of a rock band at their best, all inner-city attitude and sharp guitars. And guitars are always coming back kids.
The band have decided to blow off the live cobwebs this June in support of a brand new single 'Not My Way' - playing 6 dates across the East Coast.
