I KNOW LEOPARD announce supports for Rather Be Lonely Tour

In just two weeks, I Know Leopard will embark on a whirlwind three-date tour in support of their gleaming alt-pop single 'Rather Be Lonely' - and they're bringing along quite a cavalry with them.

Beginning Wednesday 8 February at Melbourne's Gasometer, the dream-pop four piece will be joined by BATTS aka Tanya Batt as main support, a sophisticated purveyor of silky dark synth-pop who's found acclaim and airplay across triple j, BBC 1 and BBC Introducing. Indie-pop outfit Flower Drums, who've previously shared stages with the likes of #1 Dads, Client Liaison and Panama, will open the floor on the night. In IKL's hometown of Sydney two days later at the Hudson Ballroom, ELKI will commence proceedings with her powerful presence and arresting vocals to the tune of singles such as triple j-added 'Thunder', and cinematic quartet Why We Run promise to elicit your sentimental side as they play tracks old and new, including off their debut LP Hologram, released last year.

2016 was, unquestionably, a hallmark year for I Know Leopard. The year saw them sign to nationally revered label Ivy League Records (also home to Cloud Control, Tiny Little Houses, Alpine and many more) and embark on two mammoth national support tours with The Paper Kites and Holy Holy. In October, I Know Leopard released 'Rather Be Lonely', their anti-love anthem produced by Steve Schram (Paul Kelly, Tiny Little Houses) to myriad praise; most notably in the form of an immediate add to full rotation on triple j. The irreverent, whimsically morbid accompanying clip, created and directed by Wyatt Winbourne (who's made videos for Mac DeMarco and Joey Bada$$), premiered on Yen and drew attention from music media across the country.

In addition to these headline shows, I Know Leopard will be joined by a veritable smorgasbord of musical talent at The Mountain Goat Valley Crawl, from turn-of-the-decade darlings Butterfingers to the self-proclaimed "Hannah Montana of the rap game" Mallrat.

Tickets selling fast for Melbourne and Sydney. Entry to The Mountain Goat Valley Crawl is free.
