Kllo’s debut album is one that’s sure to top year end lists. Sonically the album is a triumph, with electronic and R&B vibes strongly influencing on every track. Since the release of their debut EP, Well Worn, last year Kllo have grown in both their sound and lyrical content. The sound of the albums draws similarities to the likes of The XX, Sampha and SBTRKT. Kllo have come into their own on this record and it shows in the strength of the material.

First single Virtue is one of the biggest highlights from the album and triumphs as a lead single. It expertly showcases the vibe of Backwater.  Simon and Chloe’s growth is most prominent on this track.

The lyrical content of each track speaks on relationships, love and breakups. Chloe’s vocals are deeply haunting and hypnotising, while Simon’s deep electronic-tinged R&B beats are equally haunting providing for impressive moments like Dissolve, Virtue, Downfall & Predicament.

While there are single tracks throughout the album that standout, nothing beats listening to the entire album as a whole. It showcases just how well put together the whole record is.

Make sure to give this album a spin when it's released on October 20 and catch them on their upcoming national tour; details below!
