LOST MOTEL CELEBRATES THIRD BIRTHDAY
Renowned for unparalleled expertise and unwavering dedication to their clients and the music industry at large, powerhouse duo Sophie Kirov and Yasmin Massey are set to mark a significant milestone as Lost Motel, their global festival and touring company, celebrates its third birthday. Always turning up the volume, Lost Motel is thrilled to celebrate by welcoming some new faces to the team.
Lost Motel’s newbies include Rowan Johnson as Senior Touring Operations Manager and three exciting new additions to the touring team, Tracey Bonavia, Breiana Bennetts and Kyra Cumming, all joining alongside stalwart Rosie Potter.
Rowan Johnson’s touring experience extends all the way back to 2005 and includes legendary artists such Neil Finn, Robyn, Cut Copy and Flight Facilities. Most recently, Rowan was the Manager of Event Operations for Auckland Council.
“I am thrilled to be working with Sophie, Yasmin, their team and all of their artists. Throughout the Lost Motel family there's a great mix of familiar faces and exciting new ones,” says Rowan Johnson. “I’m looking forward to solving all of the logistical challenges that come my way and bringing my experience to help their artists put on their best shows yet.”
Prior to joining Lost Motel, Tracey Bonavia was a GM of Touring in the travel industry, working closely and on a daily basis with Tour Managers and artists to deliver successful tours and festivals globally.
Breiana Bennetts has been working in events for over a decade, with a focus on festival event management both in New Zealand and abroad. She's already hit the ground running working alongside Yasmin at the sold-out Bob Moses show at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Denver.
And rounding up the new additions, Kyra Cumming was previously the Senior Sound Engineer and Entertainment Assistant at The Beach Hotel, Byron Bay. She's frequently involved in local events and festivals in the NSW Northern Rivers Music Community and is passionate about the industry.
Bravely launched during the Covid lockdowns, Lost Motel have since been the architects of hundreds of unforgettable experiences. They are fearless navigators of the complex landscape that live entertainment has become, all while creating supportive and positive work environments, and fostering a healthy mindset in all aspects of touring and festival logistics.
Their passionate team of seasoned professionals build strong, collaborative relationships with clients to navigate the road to the stage as seamlessly as possible.
“We recognise that the success of our clients comes from all the pieces in the puzzle working together in harmony, and this continues to be the driving force in our operations,” says Sophie Kirov.
In the past 12 months, Lost Motel has delivered artist relations across prominent festival events such as Bay Dreams North & South, Fisher [AU], Le Currents, Listen Out, Plane Sailing, Spilt Milk, and the inaugural Human Kind Summit in Sydney.
