REVIEW: Hot Mulligan - Corner Hotel, Melbourne

Going out with an emphatic bang, Hot Mulligan left The Corner crowned the ones to watch on the pop punk scene.

All the way from Michigan, the boys in their twenties put on an absolute clinic as front man Nathan Sanville belted out tracks from the last three Mulligan works, as they near the end of their tour down under!

With a mixture of pop punk and Midwest emo, Hot Milligan commanded the stage with an effortless charisma and raw talent that had the audience singing and jumping along.

The Michigan emo’s knew the assignment as they pumped out track after track, from “BCKYRD” to “SPS” and obviously a timely performance of “Featuring Mark Hoppus”, with the kings from Blink in town.

It wouldn’t be a Corner Hotel gig without a front man giving it up to the pole in the mosh, and the crowd demanding a “Shoey” as well as some delightful back and forth banter from crowd to band.

The four-piece punk boys look set to continue their rise to the top of the scene with all the energy to go as far as they want in the music game, and without a doubt, it would be a very welcomed return for Hot Mulligan to grace Melbourne, and The Corner Hotel with another electric performance ASAP!
