OUT NOW: Passerine - More Human

Melbourne galactic dark-pop trio Passerine today release their explorative, cinematic third EP More Human, premiering via Pilerats yesterday.

Prismatic and oft-vulnerable yet ultimately dauntless, More Human (EP) evolved over a year of intense personal and creative challenges, including a hospitalisation with a rare neurological/autoimmune disease that left vocalist/violist Phoebe Dubar paralysed for weeks. More Human (EP) treks a winding path, underpinned by the raw cosmic power that Passerine have made their hallmark. Each song is a unique microcosm of assertive production techniques, gear and "electronica trickery" from the trio's live producer Benjamin Murphy, with drummer Alex Gooding driving the trio's innate sense of urgency across the EP.

Housing critically acclaimed singles Synthetic Heart, White Shadows And Grey Noise, Undergrowth and their arresting latest titular single, along with exalted remixes from Melbourne peers Ok Sure and Super Magic Hats & unreleased from JamBau (Au Dré) and Smile On Impact, the More Human EP was recorded and mixed in collaboration with Passerine's unofficial "fourth member" Nic Lam (DXHeaven, Jaala).

Having embarked on multiple headline tours including for their previous EP The Morning After/The Night Before; appeared at festivals and events such as The Hills Are Alive, Melbourne Fringe Festival, I'm New Here Festival, The Australian Open and counting PBS, RRR, Indie Shuffle, Kick Kick Snare (US) and This Song Slaps (US) among their myriad supporters, Passerine are here to traverse just what it means to be More Human.

Passerine's More Human EP is out now.
