POLISH CLUB RELEASE JACK GRACE REMIX OF "DIVIDED"

The best remixes are those that maintain the original's best parts, while adding a point of difference and this is exactly what you get with Jack Grace's rework of Polish Club's new single Divided

As they come off the back of their sold out National tour, including two shows at the Oxford Arts Factory in Sydney and two shows at the Corner Hotel in Melbourne, Polish Club have enlisted the considerable talents of in-demand producer Jack Grace to provide a contrasting take on their current song Divided, the third cut from the band’s stunning debut album Alright Already.

Taking Novak's powerful vocals as well as maintaining the track's hypnotic melodic palette, Grace adds an almost pious shift with Novak playing the preacher role to perfection. It's another lesson in temperament from the multi-talented producer who has been a driving force in Ngaiire's recent rise, as well as releasing one of last year's best kept secrets, his expansive debut EP River. This pairing has resulted in a brilliant release worthy of both acts, and a new way to celebrate Polish Club's ongoing success.

A change of pace from earlier singles Beat Up and Come Party, Divided is a slow smoulder of regret wrapped in a hair shirt of denial, an explosive ballad that echoes with the desolation of a last dance in the school gym after everyone else has gone home.

Alright Already has already received a wave of acclaim peaking in the ARIA Top 20 charts after being celebrated as triple j’s feature album.

Polish Club will head out on the road in September with The Preatures.
