A QUICK CHAT WITH BRYSON HILL

What inspired you to create The 90s Range? Was there a specific moment or memory from that era that influenced the sound and vibe of the track?
This record came about from so many different influences, first up the classic organ sound that dominated the 90s doesn’t miss. That organ sound works every time on any dance floor. Also my mum ALWAYS pumping classic Kylie Minogue in the house growing up, she uses that M1 organ sound across a lot of her production

You’ve just returned from a whirlwind two years in Europe. How did your experiences playing sold-out shows and festivals overseas shape the creative process behind The 90s Range?
Being heavily inspired by the European scene played a huge part in the creative process for this bad boy. The last few years have re birthed that old school sound but pushing a modern edge which is what I was hearing all over Europe and I needed to dip my toes in.

Your debut EP on the Shall Not Fade label was a huge success. How does The 90s Range build on the foundation you’ve established with that release?
Man, Shall Not Fade what a label. I grew up listening to every release from them then to land my own EP with my own imprinted vinyl was so surreal. Pushing on from that EP I wanted to highlight that dance floor feeling so it led directly to The 90s Range.

The 90s is such an iconic decade for dance music. How do you balance paying homage to that era while keeping your sound fresh and forward-thinking?
Like I said previously my mum LOVES that 90s dance music era. Whether it was that disco sound or the classic Ibiza house sound she was all over it! Subconsciously infusing my child brain with that sound.

Looking ahead to 2025, what can fans expect from you? Are there any exciting new projects, collaborations, or tour plans on the horizon?
2025!!! I have really pushed this year to create such a strong foundation for my project and surrounding myself with amazing people so for the next year we are working DOUBLE TIME! I have a EP locked in on a huge European label and have a offical remix for one of Australia’s most respected artists that is probably one of my favourite records to date.
