A Quick Chat with Buttermello
You are one of the very talented emerging bands in Queensland, how did Buttermello come together?

Bit of an interesting one. I met Elliot our lead guitarist on a Facebook page a few years ago. He mentioned some similar bands I liked and boom, since then he has been our lead. Max our drummer and Zac our bass guitarist I had met along the way through other bands and and events. I felt they absolutely fitted what we after and that has been Buttermello since
What are your goals for the remainder of the year and heading into a big 2024?
Our goal for 2023/2024 is to continue working on our music as well as continue to expand our reach interstate. We absolutely love Southeast QLD but are super excited to look interstate and make some trips down south early 2024. Thats all in the pipeline which is super exciting along with a plethora of music we are keen to finish and announce!!!
Sonically, the band seems to have taken snippets of some great bands, who are some of your biggest influences?
Collectively as a band we such a wide variety of influence. Our latest single ‘Little Bit Of Love” was written over four separate occasions with songs like, Kilby girl by the backseat lovers and avocado aficionado by the soaked oats in mind. Outside of our recent single we have been loving the likes of Royel Otis and the use of an incredible synth they use. Its something we try to emulate through our music and with guitar effects and delays for that warm fuzz which we cant get enough of.
If you had to live off of one sandwich and drink combo, what are we talking about here?
I feel like you cant go wrong with a grilled cheese. A nice vanilla thick shake in hand would be lovely. Might go get one right now. They are that great the whole band can live off them as well
You have incredibly been given the opportunity to play at the Caloundra music festival. Who are some great acts you are excited to play with ? and who is on your radar to play alongside in the future?
We are so stoked to be jumping on CMF and there is some incredible talent. We are stoked to be along side the likes on L.A.B. We have been a big fan of them for a while now. Meg Mac, This New Light, Thirsty Merc, Caravana Sun just to name a few!!! Its going to be awesome. Keen to chat with Caravana Sun about something in the future but the whole festival will be an awesome opportunity.

What would you describe your sound as?
Its a musical force that radiates indie rock brilliance. Our unique sonic landscape is built upon a captivating blend of melodic prowess and a remarkable array of effects, carefully curated to craft a warm and invigorating sound. With every note, a vibrant energy that envelops listeners, inviting them into a musical journey bathed in sunshine and imbued with the raw authenticity of indie rock. The music is a testament to our dedication to both craftsmanship and creativity, ensuring that each performance is a memorable and immersive experience for all who tune in.
How much do you love your fans, give us 5 words to explain it?
WE LOVE THEM THEY ARE THE BEST !!! They have been so supportive and receptive of our music and content – our top words would be - devoted, enthusiastic, Loyal, dedicated and supportive
