A QUICK CHAT WITH FANGZ

Congratulations on your new release! What’s the story behind this single?

The song is about turning a negative into a positive.  It follows the story of Josh leaving home in Nova Scotia, Canada, and illegally hitching a train to Toronto to start a better life playing in bands and following his dreams which eventually lead him to Sydney, Australia.

You’ll be embarking on an East Coast tour shortly. Other than playing shows, what sort of shenanigans will you be getting up to?

I (Jameel) really want to try and wake board, but behind the car. I think you could do it with Maccas trays, but once I tried using them to make my front wheel drive do drifts in the carpark and it didn’t work.

What’s a tour van go-to conversation topic you guys never fail to ramble on about when on the road?

Every time we drive anywhere, no matter what, Josh manages to tell us the story about how his old band in Canada hit a moose and goes on and on about how big they are. According to Josh, a Moose is the size of an African elephant.

What drinks pairs nicely with ‘Falling Out’?

Ahh this would be our patented cocktail ‘Volo’ not to be confused with the inferior lemon ruski. A Volo is four cubes of ice, 91 ml of vodka and a splash of solo.  It sounds easy, but please respect the Volo as those that don’t have been known to ride the porcelain bus.

Is there anything you can hint in the near future that we should be excited about?

Look we can’t give it all away but there may or may not be another single coming in March followed by a tour and an EP release in late April followed by another tour and then we’ll head overseas…. But like I said we can’t give it all away.
