A Quick Chat With Jelly Oshen

Congratulations on releasing ‘Bordalonely’!  Can you tell us what inspired you to write this track?

My reasoning for writing this song was my realisation that I might like my own company a little too much and I didn’t know how to ask people to hangout because it had been so long. 

It was a tough time for everyone during the past two year and I think a lot of people can relate to ‘Bordalonely’. How else did you kill time during lockdowns?

I definitely started smoking too much although that’s calmed down now. But mostly I’d take really long walks in big dog parks and watch a lot of cartoons.

Who / what has had the biggest impact on your song-writing?

I think life lessons were the biggest impact on me and wanting to write songs 

Is there anyone you would like to collaborate with?

I’d love to make music with the Gorillaz, Benee and the 1975

2022 has had a chaotic start, but do you have any goals for the rest of the year?

I’d like to better my work ethic for recording and releasing stuff because there’s always more you can do, and I definitely feel like I don’t do enough. Also, I’m gonna try not to touch one of those electric scooters because they’re everywhere now and it scares me.
