A QUICK CHAT WITH LIVE LIKE ANIMALS

Congratulations on ‘The White Room’! What are your plans to celebrate the release?

We’re on tour for this one with RinRin and Inferiority Complex and it’s a hell of a time. I think, honestly, we’ll all go to the pub in Sutherland once we’re back home and celebratory pint is in order.

How was the writing and recording process behind the track?

This one’s recording process was really DIY when we recorded with Brad - it had an authentic recording sound that we polished with the arrangements and mixing and that really reflects in our content style. Our writing process for this was very intensive - Nic wrote it all pretty much by himself, locked away in his room for months, synths and all. There were some rough edges we smoothed out from the demos, but the collaborations were very well executed.

What are some of your inspirations sonically as a band?

Our inspiration is all about innovation. We look to some frontrunning pop-rock bands like Nothing But Thieves, Bring Me The Horizon, and Enter Shikari and the connection they have with their fans through both their content but also the effect they have on the culture of rock music as a whole.

Where can fans come see the song live?

We’re touring the east coast currently Sydney, Melbourne, Canberra, and Brisbane but we’re a hardworking asset - we’ll be back around Australia in no time.

How does this track differ from previous releases of yours?

This track, and more coming, have a lot in common with each other - they all fit together - a lot more than our debut singles. The songs are written in a way where they can be consumed one after another with no gaps, conceptually and sonically. This particular track is aggressive and heavy and includes a soon-to-be common thematic introduction.

What are some achievements you’re hoping to tick off by the end of the year?

We’re hoping to hit Adelaide on our next tour but honestly, we want to get in the studio again and smash out a whole record!
