Loving the debut track ‘Little Miss No. 1’! Tell us where you drew your inspiration to write this one?
I guess it is something almost everyone has witnessed, either being in a relationship with someone who takes you for granted or seeing someone being taken for granted.
In a way the song is in the perspective of the subconscious of a person who has been put in the backseat of their relationship.
You guys are sisters! How is working together? Do you agree on most things when it comes to making decisions?
We’re very much on the same page.
We’re interested in each other’s ideas, but we also know each other’s strengths and weaknesses.
I guess we have had the same vision which makes it easier to map out together.
We are currently going through a global pandemic and the music industry has taken a pretty big hit. How have you girls been handling isolation?
It’s been fine, if anything we’ve been surfing more. We do miss playing pool at Jetto Pub though.
Who is your favourite artist past or present and why?
Dom: Look, I don’t have a favourite artist, my music depends on my mood and my favourites change all the time. I get asked this a lot and can never answer it. I can go from Arctic Monkeys to Aretha Franklin just because it’s what I’m feeling at the time.
Belle: Yeah, there’s so much out there that one day someone will be my favourite, then the next day it’s someone else. If I have to answer, based on today at least, I am obsessing over Khruangbin. Their live videos are sick.
5. What is your number one goal for 2020 as a band?
We just want to tour, we’re a new band so we want to take our live show around to new places.
