Can you tell us about the inspiration behind 'Faint Echoes'? What led you to explore
themes of longing and loss in this song?

I was watching a film about a classic case of a haunted house and it
made me ponder how I would communicate with my loved ones after I had passed
and if that was at all possible.

Passing of a family member made me explore the themes of longing and loss,
yearning the feeling of them being present with me.

You’ve mentioned the song's focus on the experience of hearing voices of the past
and feeling the presence of a departed loved one. How did you translate these
emotions into the musical and lyrical elements of the song?

The key chorus lyric “Faint Echoes” represents the distant voices I felt and
heard in a moment where I desired the comfort of that loved one. Musically we have
used a variety of delays and reverbs in post production and added rich layered
harmonies which represent the passed family members classical music taste.

'Faint Echoes' is described as a journey down memory lane. Could you share more
about the creative process behind capturing the bittersweet ache of nostalgia in
your music?

The Music came first as a collaborative effort from the band, the
instrumentation for the verses and chorus was created very organically where as
the middle eight section and the outro was a challenge and required more of a back
and fourth creative challenge. The lyrics were written by Tim, who has delved deep
into the memories of the past and was taken back to the surreal feeling of grief.

The song is noted for its atmospheric soundscapes and emotive vocals. How did
you approach creating these elements to resonate deeply with your audience?

We used a variety of reverbs and delay throughout the whole song on guitars
and vocals. What really makes the song emotional are the vocal harmonies in the
choruses.

How does 'Faint Echoes' fit into your broader musical journey and discography?

’Faint Echoes’ is the beginning of a new sound and a new musical journey for the
band.

Does it represent a continuation of your style or a departure into new territory?

 ’Faint Echoes’ definitely represents a departure into a new territory and leaving our
existing style behind especially with our future releases.

What do you hope listeners will take away from 'Faint Echoes' after hearing it?

If you hear voices and knocking around your house and you can’t explain
where it comes from, don’t freak out. It’s probably just a ghost trying to make
contact you and hang out.

Can you describe the live experience of performing 'Faint Echoes'? How does the
energy and dynamism of your performances complement the song's themes?

The song is actually a quiet energetic song that gets people moving and
dancing when we perform it live. It pretty much the opposite to what the deep
meaning of the song lyrics are.

Looking ahead, what are your plans for 2024? Are there any new releases, projects,
or live shows that your fans can look forward to?

We will have a few more releases to come over the next few months, we’ve got five
more shows left to play before we take it easy to write some more new music and
record. 

We've got a big show on the 5th of July coming up at Club Byron Bowlo with a bunch
of local bands which we've organised ourselves and a support show for ‘The Bennies’
at the Bangalow Bowlo.
