CLIPPED MUSIC VIDEO FESTIVAL returns to Vivid Sydney

CLIPPED Music Video Festival is the most established event dedicated to music videos in Australia. It uses a unique event to celebrate the incredible developments and legacy of the music video through interactive exhibitions, competitions, premieres, live performances, VJs, screenings and VR explorations. CLIPPED is a showcase of the art of the music video, and how it is adapting to the modern music and film industry landscapes. This year's event will take place on Saturday 2 June.

It features industry discussion panels with a varied lineup of local and international guest speakers. Some of these speakers will also act as judges in Australia’s only solely dedicated music video competition, where the best of talented Australian and New Zealand filmmakers get the opportunity  to showcase  their work.

‘I’m so proud that CLIPPED is heading into our third year as part of Vivid Sydney. It’s a beautiful city and an amazing time to hold such a unique event, now well known for putting a spotlight on the best music videos from Australian & New Zealand.’ says CLIPPED Festival Director Sam Bright.

Previous events included special experiences such as an ‘In Conversations with Warren Fu’ (Daft Punk, The Strokes), a screening of ABC’s ‘Rage 30: Celebrating Thirty Years of Rage’ documentary and an exclusive Australian screening of  Paul Thomas Anderson & Radiohead’s 35mm pressing of the ‘Daydreaming’ music video. For the festival’s third iteration the calibre will be no less impressive.
