Fakear aka Theo Le Vigoureux is the brightest star of France’s electronic new wave whose music sits somewhere on the axis linking Jamie XX, Bonobo and Daft Punk.

In a career that’s still only just getting underway, Fakear has had a top 10 EP in France, attracted public calls from MIA to collaborate, remixed ODESZA and sold out Paris’ legendary Olympia. As well as blowing fans away at Eurosonic, being booked for the USA’s Ultra Festival, having his single ‘Venus’ premiered on The FADER and can count BBC Radio 1’s dance music luminary Annie Mac as a supporter.

All of which has culminated to the release of his debut album, ‘Animal’ as well as his brand new EP ‘Karmaprana’. Fakear has crafted a collection of songs that push the emotional capabilities of electronic music another step forward. Taking in richly textured, bleeding edge electronica (Sheer-Khan, Animal), deep, downtempo soul (Silver, feat Rae Morris, Animal) and the ear-grabbing groove and infectious melody of the album’s title track, it’s clear that he blends songs together with irresistible warms.

At 24 years of age, Fakear has already taken his globally-tuned dance music across the world, playing shows from London to Tokyo as well as supporting Bonobo and ODESZA across the USA. Now the producer is on his way to Auckland, Sydney and Melbourne to show audiences what all the hype is about!
