SUBURBAN DARK Release Album 'Death From Below'

Following the overwhelming response to the recent releases of their razor sharp single, ‘Supernova’ featuring eminent MC Jeswon (of Thundamentals) and ‘Remember Your Code’, the first single to be released off what Suburban Dark are calling one of the most defining albums of their career, the Sydney duo is proud to release their newest LP Death From Below.

Featuring some of the country’s most sought after MC's including Jeswon, TELL (Mantra & Grey Ghost), P.Smurf, DJ Cost & Rapaport, Death From Below is a call to arms and a narrative. A glimpse into a future where modern society is on the brink of self-destruction. A rebellion fed up with the hypocrisy of class systems, which brings an uprising.

Chris Irvine (one half of Suburban Dark) says “Working with such an eclectic bunch of artists, Death From Below seemed to make sense the more we added to it. It’s like a mutant beast with all our influences together.”

Suburban Dark made waves in 2013 with their critically-acclaimed LP, Second Front. The monumental debut flaunted the duo’s menacing hip hop beats, epic bass-assaulting arrangements and inspired collaborations with Jeswon and Tuka (of Thundamentals) and fellow Big Village MCs, P. Smurf, Rapaport and Ellesquire.

Second Front featured the breakout single, ‘Skeletonne’ feat. Jeswon, which clocked up over 160 plays on Triple J in six months. Second Front was made FBi Radio’s Album of the Week and received outstanding reviews from the station, as well as The Brag and Drum Media, who called the album “one of the most outstanding Sydney releases of the year”.
