SWIM SEASON RELEASE NEW TRACK 'COLLIDE'
Burning the midnight oil since 2014 with a impressive slew of single releases, Melbourne quintet Swim Season are primed to set the world alight with their greatest and most resolute track to date.
Swim Season are forever pleased to release their new single into the world. Following on from their breakout singles, 'Soldiers' and, more recently, 'Lungs', Swim Seasons' new track, 'Collide' is out now via GD FRNDS.
Born from the ashes of previous group, We The People, and stringing together a few solo projects with each of the respective members, Swim Season, have garnered incredible attention thanks to their catchy tracks and impressively high energy live shows.
Swim Season's ability to deliver emotion through achingly beautiful and patient instrumentation allows the band's signer, James Seymour, to innately blossom a feeling of escapism. On 'Collide', Seymour ignites as the delicate music soon become high intensity—resulting in an explosion of wistful indie-rock imbalance.
Speaking of the single, Matthew Jennings (guitar / vocals) regales it being an effort of progression.
"Lyrically, it was inspired by a number of conflicts and indecisions in my life at the time. To put it simply, it's just about moving forward. Melodically and harmonically, I wanted to work with something simple—a song that could carry its own with just a guitar and voice," explains Jennings.
Having shared the stage with the likes of The Vanns, Bad Pony and Jack and the Kids, just to name a few, Swim Season have also become a household name around Melbourne suburbia for their intense and truly spirited headline live shows.
