Tell us a bit about Look at my Watch?

The song was written in December 2019 and while looking through my lyrics, I re-discovered the song in mid 2020. It originally had an even faster tempo than it does now. I knew the song would be a great song to produce as it was a personal favourite and it had something about it that made it stand out from my other songs. The song is about my desire to be successful with my music and the envy and jealousy that may follow from that.

What is it about making music that you are drawn to?

The creativity involved behind writing the lyrics and the whole process of being able to record and create a form of art. You feel free and for me it's living my dream.

Do you have specific songs, artists or moments that shaped your interest in being a rapper?

It was the death of XXXTENTACION that led to me discovering the rap genre. I heard his name in the news and saw it all over the internet and I decided to listen to his music. I loved it and started listening to other rappers whose music I loved too. After many many hours of listening to rap and hip hop, I decided to start writing lyrics myself. I wrote my first song at age 11.

What’s next for T the Kid?

For me this is just the beginning. In fact, I have barely started. I have 3 additional songs already produced and ready for release in 2021. I also have numerous songs stashed away ready to record. I can't wait for the public to hear them. I think I get better and better with each song and one day, I hope to be Grammy nominated and have a No.1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100!
