What’s next for James Sun?

Congratulations on the release of your new single ‘If Tomorrow Ever Comes’. Can you please tell us what the song is about?

The song is about the fear of being alone after a break up, finding yourself obsessing over it and thinking back on all your mistakes. This is literally how most of my break ups went.

The song was produced by Liam Quinn who has also worked with Illy and Ruel amongst others, how did you meet each other? Have you worked together before?

I found Liam through a story on Missy Lancasters Instagram, I heard some of the work he had done and contacted him that night. I really love the way in how he produces, he is a mega talent. I take all my tracks to Liam as I can always trust him to deliver something I love.

What challenges have you faced in these days of isolation? How have you been keeping busy?

Our company went into liquidation during COVID-19 so unfortunately I actually lost my job. I have been job searching and chilling out, enjoying some time off. I lost my voice due to the flu as well so now that’s almost recovered I will be getting back into writing.

Who is your dream music collaboration?

I would love to write a track with LAUV, that would be an absolute dream come true.

What’s next for James Sun?

I feel the next step for me is to release more tunes, build a larger audience and become more active on social media. I have always been terrible with my phone and uninterested in social media.
