What’s next for Sarah Saint James ?

 We’re loving your new single and video ‘outta this world (f**kboys in space)’. Can you please tell us who, and what the track is about?

Thankyou! The song came from an encounter I had with a guy I met last year, who spent some time with his mates talking about his crazy ex. I just sat there thinking ‘I wonder how many guys have said this about me’. The guy was good looking & charming though so I could see why he got the attention, so I thought how fun would it be to take that story but switch it up to me falling for some space alien bad boy & taking me to another galaxy. Totally weird I know.

You’ve gathered together a bunch of talented artists to feature in the DIY video, how do you all know each other? Any chance of a collaboration with any of the artists featured?

The music industry is deceptively small! Cam Nacson (SADBOii) produced and co-wrote this song with me, and has become a really great friend to me over the past twelve months. I met Paces through a session where we wrote his latest single together. I’ve written with/or for everybody else in the video too, aside from Aya Yves - who I met at an APRA party and we became friends straight away, and Doolie - we are just good friends who send each other hundreds of memes per week. I really look up to them all as artists and musicians, aside from being the best group of people.

You’re originally from Adelaide, are there any local musicians that you’d recommend that we should keep an eye out for? 

Jethro, he’s like a sweet mix between Jarryd James & JP Saxe.

2020 has been a volatile year for everyone, especially musicians, have you got any plans to tour later this year? 

Not at this point! This year I want to finish off my EP, and focus on getting out to a tour in 2021. This year is super weird, I really want to spend time with my family and appreciate the little things a bit more while the hustle has calmed down.

What’s next for Sarah Saint James ? 

I have a couple more singles to come this year & a pretty big feature too! This year I really want to put my work out there & create a little family around my music.
