XE54 Announce Launch Line-Up

Melbourne’s brand new electronic music bunker XE54 has announced a their line-up to kick off inaugural proceedings on August 12tt; Locals Mike Callandar and Jensen Interceptor plus an international act who is still to be announced!

“Our intention on the headliner front for the 2017 program is to present an eclectic range of electronic music, however even with the headliners changing, revellers can rest assured that Xe54 will have a consistent flow of disco, house and most importantly techno every Saturday between both dance floors courtesy of our residents.” Commented Filippo Palermo, booker and Beyond The Valley director whom previously announced the venue as a partnership with Roar Projects.
 
With productions on various labels, &ME’s reputation as a gifted producer and DJ extraordinaire has spread across the globe as his blend of Techno and soulful House Music defines him as one of the most unique and original figures in the game.
 
Brazil-born DJ ANNA is in high global demand – creating success out of everything she turns to whether producing originals for well-respected labels, remixing top-flight acts or moving dance floors the world over.
 
Techno legend Carl Craig has been described as a creative visionary, a ground breaking electronic music icon, an inspirational artist, an esteemed Grammy-nominated composer, a world-class DJ and an ambassador for his native Detroit.
 
Christian Smith is one of the world's leading exponents of techno, both as a DJ and producer he is always bold and innovative, leading rather than following. Swedish born Smith founded Tronic Record Label, now one of the top 3 selling techno labels in the world.
 
Although his passion for funked up and heavily pounding 4/4 beats clearly dominates his creative output, Germany born David Mayer has always been equally interested in experimenting with diverse forms of music, no matter what musical genre, it is this sense of adventure that has seen him became a floor favorite the world over.
 
Detroit DJ and producer Kevin Saunderson is globally acknowledged as one of the three innovators of Techno and an artist continually reshaping Dance Music’s future. A stalwart of the scene, Saunderson is name-checked by all of the best in the business.
 
With a name synonymous with consistent quality and outstanding musical ability, Sheffield’s Kidnap Kid reputation has been forged via a career built on high quality releases stretching back to 2012. 
 
Described by DJ Mag as “one of the most talented new forces in modern dance music today” and by fellow future house innovators as their favourite producer, Lee Foss has quickly catapulted himself into dance music’s collective consciousness.
 
Ever since his memorable breakthrough in 2008, Nick Curly has established himself as one of the pre-eminent international acts in the modern era of house music. Nick’s run of timeless, club-ready 12”’s and remixes have constantly and consistently found the mark amongst both music fans and his DJ peers
 
Housed in an underground basement on the fringe of Melbourne’s CBD, XE54 is a raw take on the typical dance music venue, with emphasis being placed on the highest calibre of sound and production.
