A Quick Chat with Bronte Alva

Congratulations on your release ‘Taylor Swift’!  How does it feel knowing it’s finally out in the world?

It feels amazing - I wrote this song when I was 18 so have been sitting on it for 2 years now!

For someone that hasn’t heard your music before, how would you describe it to them?

It’s like reading my diary. It’s my writing where I am in time figuring things out.

When you’re not writing music, how do you spend your time?

I like to spend my time in nature, or playing the piano, doing yoga, and going to gigs.

What do you hope people feel when listening to ‘Taylor Swift’?

I hope people feel reminiscent. I feel like ‘Taylor Swift’ has the stamp of young love and teenage confusion. The lyrics are embedded with sobbing into pillows and blasting Taylor Swift. I hope people feel the tough lessons they had to go through when they were 17.

You’ve shared the stage with some notable Aussie acts! Tell us about your favourite live experience to date?

All of the amazing artists I’ve had the privilege to share the stage with have such a precious place in my heart and I have so many fond memories of them! However, playing with WAAX, especially now that they’re indefinitely on hiatus, is such a special experience that I definitely won’t forget.

Where can fans see you live?

I have a tour supporting the single so they can catch me at any of those shows!!
