Your new track ‘XXL’ is incredible! What was the inspiration behind the it?

Thank you! The song is fairly simple. I got the beat from one of the producers, a good friend of mine who goes by Scruffs, back in 2018 and the sound of it drove the subject matter completely. I tried to freestyle the lyrics and much as possible and keep the vibe light.

The song is about being content with where you’re at, doing what feels right and being confident about the moves you’re making.

What’s your creative process like?

Well because I produce most of my music myself I usually I write the instrumental first and the lyrics flow out depending on how it sounds. If the lyrics come naturally then usually the beat sounds good enough to make that process easy. If not, I’ll scrap it and start over. It's all about the instrumental for me.

What tracks have you got on repeat?

Lithuana by Big Sean Ft. Travis $cott

Hooligans by Baby Keem

All night by Jai Paul

Medallion by Jenavieve

Corny by Rema

What do you get up to when you’re not making music?

If I'm not making music, I'll be listening to it or learning about it. I love watching production tutorials and artist interviews in my spare time, finding new music, listening to projects from friends or people in the music scene here.

I’m getting into film and cinematography a little so you might find me playing with cameras and lenses, or watching tutorials on that as well.

I'm doing a lot of yoga and meditation lately in an effort to balance out the heavy shit that 2020 keeps piling on, but also to be completely honest I’m usually online browsing for expensive gear and clothes that I can’t afford.

When live shows return, what can people expect to see from you?

You can expect to see a smile stretched over my face from start to finish. I’ll be very pent up once shows are up and running so I'll be delivering a lot of energy and a lot of up-tempo music to dance to.

My shows are going be a celebration of all of us getting through this year, so they should be pretty wild.

What’s planned for the rest of 2020?

I’ve got a lot of projects that I'll be collaborating on till the end of the year behind the scenes, some performances that you can live stream and hopefully some that you can attend, but other than that I'll be focussing on a new project to be released sometime next year.
