What can we expect from Yuto. for the rest of the year?

Yuto., cool name - is there a cool backstory to how you came about this name?

So we went to register PUTO first and that got knocked back by Facebook, cause it means something offensive in another language (we think South American) so then we were like we need to find a name similar. So we went from A-Z and we were like these all suck till we got to YUTO and settled on that. Then hit another snag with another artist having the same name (YUTO) so added the full stop and it turned into Yuto. 

Who are your dream collaborators - production, vocals, instrumentals etc. 

Production is Flume, that guy is insane, how he morphs sounds and textures is like no other. Another would be Cassian, that would be more for mixing purposes, as we mix all our own stuff. He mixes a lot of our fave aussie artists so that would be special. Vocally we always gravitate to AlunaGeorge and The Weeknd. Currently a dream collab would be Wafia, GRAACE and Vera Blue they are all amazing and their new stuff blends into our area a little bit so that would be ace.  

Who are your favourite Australian artists at the moment and why?

Tkay Maidza her new body of work is amazing, Hayden James we are constantly smashing, also we are froffing the new Crooked Colours atm!

What’s your favourite thing to do when you’re not making music?

Watching Basketball, investing in Basketball cards and currently with COVID exercising heaps and finally convinced Daylan to watch ‘Full Metal Alchemist - Brotherhood’ (which was dope) and heaps of Formula 1 currently haha.

What can we expect from Yuto. for the rest of the year?

Debut EP ‘Self Aware’ will be released at the end of October hopefully. Really excited about that and planning to release again in December to finish the year :) on a non music front looking to buy our first property together. Also working on material for 2021, which is a bit different to what we usually create so that's SUPER exciting.
