What challenges has Lach from Last Dinosaurs faced in isolation?

1.     Congrats on the release of your new single and video ‘Flying’. We all need songs like this to cheer us up at the moment! Have you been pleased with the overwhelming support for the track globally?

 Thank you! Yes of course, we’re very flattered with how it’s been picked up. The comments have been so supportive as per usual and it seems to be travelling well still. Our Spanish speaking audience especially have shown their support and approval which is something we’re glad about especially since we were supposed to play there so soon after.

2.     ‘Flying’ is a departure from your usual sound, can we look forward to hearing more Nu-disco inspired tunes from you in 2020?

 That’s a hard one to answer. It’s definitely in our repertoire but as to whether we’ll put a focus on that, we’re not sure at this stage. The album is still coming together. 

3.     What challenges have you faced in these days of isolation? How have you all been keeping busy?

 Staving off inevitable boredom. I try and structure my day as much as I can to stay productive but it’s so hard to just do the same thing every day with nothing to contrast it. At least I walk in a historical Mexican city when I get bored but still, it’s a quarantine version. I write music 5 - 6 days a week and read a lot which is my happy place, but I think we’re all a little ready to get back to it already no?

4.     When life gets back to normal and you’re able to tour again, will you tour Australia first? What can fans expect from your live shows?

 I believe we will be touring Australia as soon as possible. Fans can expect to see 4 boys on stage playing their respective instruments and enjoying themselves too much. Hopefully they will join us in the enjoyment part. They can also expect to see some appalling behaviour, specifically new heights of controversial anti-liberal-national party rhetoric. That wouldn’t be so appalling for too many people hopefully. But seriously they can expect to see the best indie-pop band in the Easter-hemisphere play their instruments and sing without auto-tune ;)
