What is Charlie Threads looking forward to toasting to when Melbourne’s restrictions are lifted?

Charlie, thank you for taking the time to chat with us. How are you going after the release of Chin Chin and how has the response been so far?

My pleasure! Shits going real well, it was kind of a slow burn to begin with, but real recognises real and the wonderful Ebony Boadu gave it a spin on triple J house party. Safe to say it's a hit baby!

Chin Chin is all about moving through life on your own terms and celebrating the release of other people’s expectations. How do you celebrate a music release? Yeah definitely, that's a dope way to put it! Honestly the best way to celebrate a release is to promote it and believe in it, celebrate by putting double the work in so the next win is even wilder than you expected. That's not to say you shouldn’t  have fun and celebrate accomplishments, but define what a real win is and what a milestone is.

What is one thing you’re looking forward to toasting to when Melbourne’s restrictions are lifted?

Sessions with my talented ass friends.

Loving the one shot drone vibes for your music videos. Is that something that you’re looking to continue into the release of the EP later this year?

Thank you! yeah it was a great way to showcase the way I perform without being able to play shows, and during all these restrictions it was a great way to adapt and still get quality content out! The full Chin Chin clip will be up soon, but that's the last drone clip for this year. The official video will be for a song that's coming out before the end of the year, and damn I’m excited!

What do you want people to know about Charlie Threads and your upcoming music in 2020?

What you see is what you get, I really don’t have a gimmick. Expect to hear a revolutionary upgrade to not only my talents but the sonic value of all my music, expect better videos, better content, and a confident young artist ready to do whatever it takes to take that crown, i think it’d fit nicely…

“This song is really about just letting go and not caring what people think or say.. About showing that less is more.”
