UV BOI فوق بنفسجي UNVEILS NEW EP

Following on from recent single "All I Want" featuring Villette, one of Australia's most promising producers, UV Boi فوق بنفسجي has revealed his sophomore EP Returned Alone out today via Valve Sounds.

Returned Alone sees the critically-acclaimed beat maker combine lush vocals and dreamy synths, to produce hypnotizing compositions that float along effortlessly. The dynamic six-track offering, melds elements of trip hop and dream pop, opening with "Bleeding Out", a dark slow burning cut of down-tempo electronica. The mood shifts with "Is This Love Yet?", an earnest, RnB love song with flickers of jazz. "Awful Beauty" follows introducing stunning layered-vocals and an array of sonic-textures. Next up is enigmatic synth-laden cut "Dark", featuring the ethereal vocals of fellow label artist, Villette. Distortion and low slung characters arrive with "Set In Stone", while recent cut "All I Want" brings the EP home, reminding listeners one last time of Villette’s heavenly croons.

"'Returned Alone' is the sequel to 'L-UV', following the story of the search for love or an experience near to it. Was love found? Was someone left with a broken heart or maybe were both? Were things moving at different speeds? Was I ready? Did I ruin something that could have blossomed into something beautiful before it even started. 'Returned Alone' is mostly wrote in the perspective of the other person, explores some of those possible feelings that that person may have felt in the end of all things. I don’t know what they think of me now but I guess I'm trying to see it through their mind. Am I horrible and cold hearted? Yes.. No.. Maybe?" - Emmanuel John

UV Boi فوق بنفسجي  (Emmanuel John) has developed a cult-following of sorts, with critically-acclaimed debut single "Thank U" ft. Fionn Richards receiving endorsements from the likes of Nina Las Vegas and Ryan Hemsworth. Named as triple j Unearthed’s 2014 prize winner, the producer quickly grew a multi-national fanbase after his signing to Melbourne-based label, Valve Sounds.
 
By the time he released his debut EP L-UV (2016), UV Boiفوق بنفسجي was on par with some of Australia’s most celebrated producers, being chosen to support the likes of Tkay Maidza, Kaytranada, Goldlink, Lido and George Maple. The L-UV EP featured stand out singles "Show You" and "If She, If He", both of which garnered support from triple j and the Hype Machine blogging community, as well as millions of combined streams online. 

Off the back of releasing his sophomore Returned Alone EP, UV Boi فوق بنفسجي is currently gearing up to traverse the country throughout September and October. Kicking off at Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory, the tour will see the producer perform to crowds in Brisbane, Adelaide, Canberra, Melbourne, Mandurah, Fremantle, Wollongong and Hobart. With a new EP under his belt and a national tour ahead of him, UV Boiفوق بنفسجي is set to perform to his biggest crowds yet in 2017.
