Iso-Chat wth Stupid Baby

We are obviously going through some very weird times at the moment. Isolating from others can have a massive impact on us. How have you guys been taking isolation? Are you all going well?

As a band that thrives on playing gigs, it’s definitely been hard to adapt to. Having said that, we are doing really well considering the circumstances and limitations. We have all managed to keep our jobs, whether it be teaching from home, construction, producing and song writing. We all have really supportive family and friends too, so that makes us very lucky.

Here is an example of COVID life from our Guitarist, Will AKA Bill, Kram, Crumb, Daddy Doo little x

“I’ve been lucky and, in a position, to mostly enjoy the positives that have come with isolation for my house. Spending a whole bunch more time with my girlfriend and dog, painting and playing guitar. We are surrounded by bush trails so the chance to spend more time hiking and exploring has been mint.”

Has it been difficult to go about your normal routine as a band and connect with one and other like you would on a day to day basis?

We have always been pretty solidly conversing over our group chat since day one, so nothing has really changed. We definitely have missed each other though 😞. Since the restrictions have lifted a bit, we have had a few little visits and brief jams.

How have you been keeping busy in isolation? Any TV shows, books or games to recommend?

When things start getting back to normal, do you think we will see a difference in the live music industry?

Obviously, it’s a pretty scary time for a lot of musicians and venues. I feel optimistic that there will be an electric shift, with more people supporting live music and attending gigs. I can see bigger bands visiting smaller towns, and smaller bands getting more opportunities to benefit their careers and their love of music. I would hope that people won’t take live music for granted after this. I am sure a lot of people will want to go out more and support their local music venues who have suffered or had to close down throughout coronavirus.

Can we expect some Stupid Baby live shows when they have relaxed the restrictions?

100%. We will play shows till we die.
