What’s up Down Under
Down For Tomorrow - Interviewed by American Hi-Fi

Hey guys! This new single is a great addition to your discography. What would you say your key song writing elements are?

Our songs are usually pretty angsty and apprehensive. They’re typically written in a period of despondency, after something has triggered the emotions. But that’s sometimes when the best material has been written – when the artist is able to genuinely capture their frustration. So, angst, and distorted guitars, and catchy melodies.

What are some of the best bands you’ve seen come out of Australia?

Oh, we’ve seen plenty! There’s a long long list, but right now, we’re loving bands like Stand Atlantic, Yours Truly, Slowly Slowly, BUGS, and Luca Brasi. And also, we have our influences – silverchair, Grinspoon, and Violent Soho.

The touring world has kinda dissolved due to the global situation…who’s the last American artist you saw perform in your country?

For Cody, it was Ben Folds in March. Sarah last saw Tiny Moving Parts in January, Tom saw Reel Big Fish at Good Things Festival, and for Henry, it was A Day To Remember.

Although, we were lucky enough to support three American bands in the last year: The Maine, The Dangerous Summer, and As It Is.

When the worlds no longer completely fucked, whereabouts in America would you like to visit?

Florida. So we can witness the “Florida man” headlines first-hand.
