Herzeloyde Releases New EP '4D'
One of Australia’s most-hyped, rising producers, Herzeloyde, steps into the spotlight with the release of his latest EP – 4D.
The EP, which has already spawned the single ‘Sprung,’ is the culmination of a series of amazing releases in recent years that have seen the Melbourne beat-maker and melody-warper be championed and signed by Moonbase to be one of the first artists on his growing label Trench Records, alongside fellow Melbourne artist Tiber and Moonbase’s own music.
4D is the sound of an artist fully coming into his own, while simultaneously discovering new realms of experimentation and expression. From the crackling fire of ‘Sprung’; the murky digital ripples of ‘Outsider’; hypnotically robotic opener ‘My Sound’; and the closing one-two punch of the pulsating ‘Sonar’ and the smooth groove of ‘Dark Soul’ – the five track release is a completely immersive listening experience, and resonates like it’s being beamed in from the future and dragging a tide of collaged sounds and textures with it.
Having slowly built his following and career over the last few years through a series of consistently brilliant songs uploaded to Soundcloud, Herzeloyde is now a name on the lips of some of the most important voices in the electronic music world. If he’s not receiving big-ups from artists like Mr Carmack, Noisia or Snakehips, he’s being backed by taste-makers internationally – from influential blogs like Nest HQ and Movement, through to triple j play here in Australia and heaped praise from outlets like Purple Sneakers.
