TOUCH SENSITIVE ANNOUNCES LONG AWAITED DEBUT ALBUM
Hot off the release of his vibrant house single “Lay Down”, Touch Sensitive today announces his long awaited debut album, Visions - slated for release on September 15 and available to pre-order now via Future Classic.
Having already solidified himself as one of Australia’s most-loved producers, Touch Sensitive now whets appetites everywhere with the Visions trailer, teasing snippets from his forthcoming LP, set to picturesque, activity-filled LA visuals.
After four years between releases, Michael Di Francesco under his moniker Touch Sensitive, returned to electronic music’s holy circle last month, with his infectious bass-driven single “Lay Down”. The track topped the Hype Machine charts and permeated music sites globally with a now signature palette of syncopated synthesisers and immediate hooks. When paired with the mini-mix, Visions hints to be a soaring pastiche of slow disco, new-jack swing and undoubtedly retro productions from the Pizza Guy himself.
Affectionately described as Future Classic’s ‘spirit animal’, Touch Sensitive first made us believe in miracles in 2004, with his debut single and global DJ favourite “Body Stop”. In 2012, the collaboration “Real Talk” with Sydney export Anna Lunoe arrived as his second offering. The synth-heavy track stayed atop of Beatport’s Indie/Dance Charts for five months, recognised as the 'underground dance track of the year' worldwide. Then in 2013, the release of his spacey slow-burner “Pizza Guy”, cemented Touch Sensitive as electronic music's MVP.
On the stage, Touch Sensitive has become a festival favourite, having appeared at Splendour In The Grass, Falls Festival, The Plot, Laneway, Soundscape, Lost Paradise, Mountain Sounds, Perth’s CIRCO and Holy Ship. This past month, Francesco completed a US tour with headline shows and support sets with Flight Facilities and Flume, dotted across the country.
Now, Touch Sensitive prepares to unleash his debut full-length album into the world, backed by a brand new live show to be revealed at Listen Out Festival nationally this September.
