FLIGHT FACILITIES UNVEIL SECOND REMIX PACKAGE FOR "ARTY BOY"
FEAT. MANILA KILLA, NINAJIRACHI, TENNYSON, DOM DOLLA & SET MO
Sydney’s much-loved pilot producers Flight Facilities return today with a second remix package for one of this year’s biggest releases “Arty Boy” with Emma Louise. Featuring critically acclaimed producer Manila Killa of the Philippine’s capital, alongside Canadian brother and sister duo Tennyson, praised Australian DJ Dom Dolla, rising star Ninajirachi and local powerhouse duo Set Mo.
Premiering via This Song Is Sick is Manila Killa’s remix, instantly injecting Emma Louise's vocal with a bright, engaging melody. Ninajirachi comes next, with her slow burning and lush rework of the track. At just 17-years of age, the Central Coast artist displays production capabilities beyond her years.
Tennyson take the track to a new dimension, drenching each verse in crunching synths and subtle horns creating a busy arrangement of loops and agreggios. Dom Dolla arrives next with his crawling, late-night remix that saw mixmag take the first listen. Increasing the pace, Dolla fabricates the track in a way that’s both inventive and forward-thinking. Lastly we hear from Sydney duo Set Mo who tailor “Arty Boy” to adopt their signature sound of deep house and dance-floor ready grooves, worthy of any festival arena.
"Australian duo Flight Facilities are no stranger to being the subject of powerful, electronic remix and their latest output by the name of 'Arty Boy' proves no different" - mixmag
Sitting on 4 million streams, "Arty Boy" was Flight Facilities' first release since their gold certified, world-toured, twice ARIA-nominated debut LP Down to Earth. After premiering on triple j earlier this year, "Arty Boy" soared to the top of the Hype Machine charts and garnered strong support from international tastemakers including EARMILK, mixmag and Indie Shuffle. The release saw the duo team up with frequent collaborator Emma Louise as well as the German collective Jünglinge film, who directed the song's visuals - a documentary-led insight into the fascinating, forgotten world of Irani-German couple Shirin & Nasser. Friends of Arnold Schwarzenegger, the elderly couple walk us through their temple of memories dedicated to sculpted bodies, glamour and bizarre 80s environments.
"Arty Boy" marked the long-awaited return of the critically acclaimed Sydney duo. Now with not one, but two remix packages, Flight Facilities have paved the way for another timeless summer anthem.
