LISTEN TO LEISURE SUITE'S NEW SINGLE ' SHUT DOWN '

Melbourne duo Leisure Suite return with a sassy and confident new single entitled ‘Shut Down’ - their second release of 2017. It premiered via Red Bull Music on Wednesday July 5th. 

Vocalist and lyricist Bridgette Le details the story behind ‘Shut Down’ - “I was sick of being surrounded by the types of men who treat women as disposable because they think they're more worthy or hold higher social status. I wanted to shut them up or as the song says, shut them down”.

Channeling Aaliyah, TLC and 2000 era R&B, Leisure Suite show off an assertive and more energetic side of themselves. ‘Shut Down’ is the second instalment in a string of upcoming Leisure Suite singles scheduled for release over the few months. 

Since the release of their Self-Titled EP in 2014, Leisure Suite have created a strong wave of momentum. Their Lay Low EPreleased early last year has amassed over a million Spotify streams. A string of supports including GL, Alpine, Andras and Oscar and Fortunes has pushed Leisure Suite to transform their most personal selves into a captivating live act. 

Drawing lyrical inspiration from the likes of Erykah Badu the duo’s collection of upcoming material will merge Bridgette Le’s honest lyricism effortlessly over the textured production of Mitchell Wood.
