Maya Payne releases new single, 'Something We Once Knew'

Already impressing heavyweights like Charli XCX and actress Chloë Grace Moritz, New Zealand born and now Sydney based electro pop artist, Maya Payne shines on new single 'Something We Once Knew'.

Showcasing an artful layering of Maya's vocals, 'Something We Once Knew' builds slowly with a delicately sweet pop melody and then it hits hard. The chorus showcases the best of Maya's electro-pop sensibilities and an incredibly infectious melody eliciting unstoppable head-bopping. In short - it's a total sing-along track.

Maya is a self-made success story, independently releasing her debut EP 'The Lucky Ones' through her label Rolley Records in 2016 - which peaked at number six on the New Zealand album charts. The EP's lead single 'If Only' shot into the stratosphere of online success, hitting number one on the Spotify viral charts in both New Zealand and Poland thanks to a little shout-out in the form of a tweet from actress Chloe Grace Moretz, racking up over five million streams on Spotify. Maya then went on to support Charlie XCX on the New Zealand leg of her tour.

With a recent move to Sydney and a chest full of unreleased gems in her suitcase, Maya is working on a second EP with more music to be released before years end.
