WAYFARER// & LANKS TEAM UP ON "BROKEN WIRE"

Melbourne based producer Wayfarer// teams up with fellow Australian LANKS on "Broken Wire", the third in a string of wonderful collaborative singles leading up to upcoming Garden State EP. The track themes' focus on growing up and not wasting your  opportunities, with Lanks' intuitive songwriting and beautifully cadenced vocal soaring above cinematic production.

The line that really sums it up for me is 'growing up for nothing, but another time'. Sometimes I look forward too much, not appreciating the present - a timely reminder to myself. - LANKS

Hearing Sampha’s new record was a pivotal moment in my creative mind - almost giving me permission to strip some of the density out of this track, letting the drums and piano carry the tune, giving it space to breathe Wayfarer//

"Broken Wire" follows on from collaborative debut single ‘Break’ w/ North Elements and Denitia(denitia and sene), and resplendent pop gem "Why'd You Let Me Out" ft. Novaa, released last month.
