  • Can you tell us a bit about You & I? It’s reason for being and what it was like working on the song.

I think a lot of people build an image of what they expect from another person in life that isn’t based on reality, especially when it comes to love. An image that has slowly been formed in our minds from years of watching films/tv, reading books and maybe having parents/friends who aren’t necessarily an example of a healthy relationship. You start to have these warped expectations of love. This song explores the process of realising that and wondering what lies next.

I ended up working on this song in the English countryside, where I’ve been doing a lot of my recordings recently. A place I’m starting to feel really comfortable in.

  • You are an internationally touring artist who finds himself playing shows all over the world each year. Do you have a favourite place to play / memorable venue?

I love playing in Europe, especially the Netherlands. The crowds there are incredibly lovely and you come off stage feeling really good about the show. My very first show there was in Utrecht and I don’t think I’ll ever forget that. Way more people turned up than I imagined and I felt so incredibly welcomed!

  • Any wild stories from on the road?

I keep it pretty tame on the road to be honest ;)

  • Can you tell us a bit about what your studio space is like?

Nothing special for me personally, just some monitors and basic recording gear for demos etc. But I just moved in to my good friend and long time collaborator Hayden Calnin’s house. He has a beautiful studio attached to the home that overlooks the water.

  • Whats the perfect day in your opinion?

Something super simple like surf all day with mates then a few drinks into the evening. I’m away a lot lately so I dream about those sort of days !!

  • What is next for Harrison Storm?

I feel like I’m in a really nice rhythm of touring and writing at the moment. I’ll be overseas playing more shows next year, releasing new music and trying my hardest to progress in all aspects of my career. All the while keeping my sanity :)
