E^ST ANNOUNCES HEADLINE SHOWS IN SYDNEY & MELBOURNE
In support of her excellent new single ‘Life Goes On’, E^ST is excited to play two intimate headline shows in Sydney and Melbourne. The Australian teenager, songwriter and nonconformist will take the stage upstairs at Melbourne’s The Gasometer Hotel on Thursday 30 November and at Sydney’s Oxford Circus on Friday December 1.
E^ST has also shared a remix EP which features new interpretations of her single ‘Life Goes On’, put together by KC Lights, Twilo, and her pal Alice Ivy.
In September, E^ST (aka Mel Bester) returned with ‘Life Goes On’, her first single in over a year. The song came to life during a writing stint with UK producer Jim Elliot (Ellie Goulding, Foxes) and continues to affirm Bester as one of Australia’s most exciting young pop acts. The track peaked at #1 on triple j’s weekly most played chart and has been streamed over 2 million times to date.
E^ST’s prodigious songwriting talent lies in her ability to express the conflicted emotions of youth in her own distinctive voice. In 2014, Bester shared her fully-formed debut EP Old Age - an impressive feat for the then-16 year old. Bester has since then shared another two EPs: 2015’s The Alley, 2016’s Get Money!, and earlier this year she appeared on Alice Ivy's single 'Get Me A Drink', alongside Melbourne rapper Charlie Threads.
