ELECTRONIC MUSIC CONFERENCE AND MIRIK MILAN, NIGHT MAYOR AMSTERDAM ANNOUNCE GLOBAL CITIES AFTER DARK 2017

EMC in partnership with Mirik Milan, Night Mayor Amsterdam today announces Global Cities After Dark– a one-day forum focused on global night time culture and economy.
 
Global Cities After Dark brings together 150 delegates to hear from leading Night Time Culture and Economy specialists from around Australia and the world about the forces shaping our lives, cities and businesses. Global Cities After Dark is an invite only forum for city planners, local and state government, artistic and cultural organisations and most importantly the nightly creative leaders.
 
The purpose of the forum is to strengthen the global network of night culture specialists, exchange knowledge, experience and best practices between cities and regional areas, and to inspire more people about the economical benefits of thriving nightlife. From nation, to city, to brand, city hall to hotel, Global Cities After Dark unravels what makes first-class Night Time Economy, and what solutions we have at hand to counter some of the major challenges of today in nightlife.

Global Cities After Dark is a three-year project, to be held in Sydney each November from 2017 to 2019. The inaugural event will feature five international guests from BerlinLondonAmsterdamIbizaand Seattle joined by an inspirational mix of specialists from various fields that are essential to positive night time culture – creative industries, gastronomy, health and safety, mobility and public transport, legislation, urban planning, art and music.
