A QUICK CHAT WITH ELENORE

1.   Love the new track ‘You n Me’. Tell us what it’s about?

I think ‘You n Me’ describes something that pretty much all of us have gone through. It’s the classic feelings of love and hate for someone after you’ve parted. For me it’s a reminder of all the reasons that caused a break up for those moments (which will definitely happen) where you begin to miss that person.

2.   You started performing from a young age and moved from country town Bendigo to Melbourne to peruse your career on stage. What is it about performing that you love so much?

The feeling of being on stage and having people sing my songs along with me is one that I honestly can’t match with any other aspect of my life. After performing I feel so pumped up for days after and it just makes me so happy. Whether that performance was when I was a kid and my dad would make my brothers and I all sing together like the Von Trapps or headlining my own night I have always and will always love it.

3.   You had a tour booked in this year, but it has been postponed because of Covid-19. Do you think there will be a big change in the music industry once we get through this?

I think there will definitely be a change in the industry, but I don’t think it will be streaming movement. I think and hope that the change will actually be the appreciation that we all have for live music. Once all of the events start popping up all over the place after the pandemic has passed I think we will all realise how much we took it for granted. The rise of live streaming shows online has just shown how versatile and persistent the industry is to continue thriving and it has given me a lot of comfort for any other curve balls thrown in the future.

4.    You were a dancer growing up, what are your favourite styles of dance?

Definitely tap but I also love to just free style it on the d floor which can get embarrassing ahaha. Dance is something that I really want to incorporate into my live shows in the future and also get back into doing crazy costume changes in 10 seconds. I think there’s something really special about having huge routines in live shows, so it is a completely different experience to just streaming the music.

5.   Can we expect more from Elenore in the near future?

No doubt about it, this release is step one of many.
