GOLDEN VESSEL ANNOUNCES EP RELEASE + RELEASES NEW SINGLE

Golden Vessel continues to storm through 2017, announcing the Right/SideEP, which will be released on 29 September via Exist. Recordings. The first two tracks from the EP, ‘Tell The-Girl’ feat. Emerson Leif and ‘Shoulders’ feat Elkkle and Mallrat have received high rotation on triple j and community radio, as well as accolades from local and international media. Ahead of his BIGSOUND 2017 showcase, today we are rewarded with the third single and accompanying video,  'Less~More' feat. OKBADLANDS. 

'Less~More' sees Golden Vessel team up once again with good friends OKBADLANDS, having featured the fellow Brisbane-based duo on his previous Before Sleep EP. A collaborative effort between the producerand director Harry Deadman, the accompanying ‘Less~More’ video was shot on a wide range of film formats. Pairing lo-fi visuals with digital images, the video encapsulates the tracks intricate layers and production.

Golden Vessel describes the visuals as “I wanted to create a music video that was fast moving, but had this feeling that OKBADLANDS and I were just dancing in front of our bedroom mirrors. I met Harry Deadman and his small team who are into filming multi-format and old-film medium videos and thought the switching between Digital, 16mm, VHS, photos + more formats would create the movement and textures that were within the song musically.“

The forthcoming 6-track EP was written and produced by the Brisbane producer and solidifies him as a rising star of the Australian music scene. Golden Vessel will showcase the Right/Side EP live at BIGSOUND next month with a must-see set at TBC Club on Tuesday 5 September, before taking it around the country in a main support slot for label-boss and good friend The Kite String Tangle.
