Melbourne based solo act, Fractures, treated his east coast fans with an exclusive, intimate and glorious act with tracks from his earlier days to his more recently released debut album Still Here.

The infamous Lansdowne venue in Sydney provided an up close and personal view on the indie rock artist who supplied some real show stopping moments. Backed by a four piece band and with having minimal air time the past 6 months in Australia (although just concluding a national tour supporting artist Amy Shark) nothing was stopping him from showcasing his soulful talent and breathtaking vocals.

His set started off with a crowd favourite in 'Won’t Win' which drew the crowd closer to the stage in an attempt to feel his powerful lyrical ability and the bands effortless cohesion. This was no doubt the right start for the night as he made his way through some old and some new tracks including Fall Harder, Lowcast, Alchemy and Time Frame. A highlight for all Fractures fans that night was the unforgettable track of It’s Alright.

He drifted into this with remarkable control and authority over the stage, getting lost with closed eyes and providing hauntingly attractive and additive lyrics that took everyone to a special connective place with the singer. The already high energy and immersive set picked it up a few notches when Fractures and his accompany band played I Don’t Mind, this track jumped another level with collaboration from each band member and with Fractures getting totally absorbed in his performance it was hard for anyone in the room not to stop and listen.
The passion oozes from Fractures when he gets lost.

In contrary to the paint brush effect his songs project, Fractures, provides another side of himself during a live performance showing a more witty, quick humoured and infectious comical banter. His confidence in his interaction with the crowd provided another light on the artist which was refreshing and down right amusing to witness.

He also gave his Sydney fans a special treat to an unreleased track currently titled Dissolve. The layered harmonies and electronic vibe of the track was not unfamiliar territory for Fractures however staying true to his current debut album EP many fans took great appreciation for the sound. This track contained thought provoking and somewhat emotional lyrical value mixed with uplifting instrumental work, showcasing another stunning self produced tune.
For all music lovers this is a track you must get around and will certainly hit air waves soon!

Fractures completed the exclusive gig with an “unsuspected encore” and came out with an old classic and one of his first released songs in Twisted. This track rounded a flooring night of live music and confirmed our home grown Melbourne talent is well and truly capable for some real show stopping moments.
