What are you doing to keep yourself occupied during this time of isolation?

Eze: Video games are a big outlet, which for me is a great way to keep in touch with my friends while I’m in isolation. Just last week i scheduled to play some Minecraft with a friend in Estonia. I showed him this lemons track (He loved it by the way), and just caught up about life. We’ve been preparing for our single releases too, so even though the isolation has been difficult, it hasn’t halted life entirely.

Bowen: I’ve been driving buses for my dad for the last few months, which obviously has stopped because of the situation. But my dad got this new primo bus, so I’ve been designing graphics for it. It’s actually been really fun having some input into my dads business so we’ve been bonding over the work so that’s been really good. It was my birthday recently, and we couldn’t really celebrate it so if you like to send some birthday wishes I wouldn’t say no.

Tell us about the release of “Lemons (The Lime Version)“?Zech: Being one of our most loved tracks, Our label suggested we tackle it again. So we spoke to

Jackson Barclay on re-recording our track “Lemons.”
He was super excited, in his words “Let’s reimagine the track” to which we gave him a bit of stick on the “reimagining” line. That being said, there were things that we always felt we could improve on this song, less to do with the melody and more to do with the craft of the song such as changing things like build ups and dynamics. So although it feels the same, it still has a little something different. Like limes and lemons. They are both a citrusy fruit but both unique.

What are three things you love doing outside of music?

1. Boating. We all love to go out wakeboarding on the boat, its probably been the worst part about this. We can see the water from our house and the conditions have been perfect.2. Video Games. Eze loves playing Escape From Tarkov and Minecraft, Zech loves his RPG and Bowen is a “pro”at Pac-Man, Frogger or anything in the retro gaming world.3. Projects. We all love making use of our time to build something. Eze built out a van as a camper, Zech has been building a website and Bowen has been tinkering with a BBQ boat for the lake when all this dies down.

If you could be anywhere in the world right now, waiting this thing out. Where would you go?

Zech: We are fortunate enough that we were all close to our family when the isolation came in. So for us we are exactly where we want to be during this time. Eze: On a lighter note I’ve been in philosophical discussion with several friends about where the best place to go would be during this time. The strongest contender came in as Bunnings Warehouse “where lowest prices are just the beginning.”

What’s next?

Bowen: Late last year we signed with Nettwerk and have been spending the time planning out the

next few years. Through them its given us the resources to be able to do things we weren’t able to before, so we are really excited for what’s coming with SO much new music to be released. We’ve also been talking about getting online more, things like live-streaming of us creating our music where people can watch our creative process and ask questions about how we do what we do.

All in all we are so pumped for the future.
