What is next for Riley Pearce?

Has my approach to music changed during isolation?

Not really, I’ve probably had more time to try out different things but also had less inspiration so I guess it’s a trade off. My main concern though is going crazy and I tend to overwork myself often so trying to maintain a healthy level of non-work time is important.

Tell us about Maybe I Can Sleep It Off

It’s my story of my relationship to my songwriting and getting myself from a place of utter confusion to developing a really healthy relationship to my creative self and nurturing it so it never resents me. 

What am I listening to lately?

I’ve been loving Gordi’s new album, listening to a band called Pinegrove and then diving back into some of my throwback playlists to re-live those non-lockdown memories.

What is next for Riley Pearce?

Hopefully shows! I miss shows! I was lucky enough to record two EPs in one hit back in March before the world caved in. They were two quite distinct but separate themes hence the EPs and not combining them into an album. Those songs will get released in time and yeh cannot wait for shows to come around. Will have some cobwebs though that’s for sure.
