Who is Autosuggest in three words?

Raunch electronic rock

Can you tell us more about the subject of My Signal?

My Signal is about peacocking through your anxiety and self-doubt, to usually making the overall situation terribly, terribly, worse. It’s more or less the classic running-away-from-your-problems song with fan favourite additions of sex alcoholism and self loathing.

What can we expect from you guys after this single?

We’re just finishing up the album that will encompass our 2020 material, it’s called Introhedonism — it does what it says on the tin. Who knows when shows will get back to normal but we can’t be arsed to play to people seated so lets say shows back in the end of the year. For now, its about finishing production and starting writing on the third record.

If you each had to choose one person to be in lockdown who would it be?

Nathan Fielder, because I’m not convinced he’s a real man and I think someone would pay good money for footage of him out of character.

If you could make a superband, who would you choose and why?

Peter Hook (Joy Division/New Order), because he’s Peter Hook and my teenage self wouldn’t allow for any other first choice.

Massive Attack for their absolute dedication to moody soundscapes, their Ritual Spirit EP is probably one of the greatest return to forms ever from a band.

And Sevdaliza, who is probably the best artist I’ve ever seen live. Her whole set from the construction of the songs to the choreography and her flawless performances is just something I will be forever chasing.

Lastly, what's been the most valuable thing that you’ve taken away from the pandemic?

Luckily for me I reached peak mental health beforehand with the help of therapy and some fairly good ecstasy (seeing Drab Majesty at Farmer and the Owl, quite good), so most of my isolation was just taking stock and cleaning house. When you’re stuck with yourself you realise what you care about which for me is making things I’m proud of, and that’s an easy thing to keep doing with this band.
